Explore the Hunsrück at Your Own Pace

The Ausonius Hiking Trail from Bingen to Trier: Ausonius was
a famous roman scholar. He travelled right about the Hunsrück from
Bingen to Trier already in 368 BC. Experience the region on historical
Roman streets with an excursion in five stages (each stage approx.
20-25 km). Historical evidence of the Romans will wait to be
discovered on the way. Amazing exhibits are shown in the archaeology
park "Vicus Belginum" in Wederath. To the end of the
excursion you will be arriving in Trier, the oldest city of Germany.

Rhine-Moselle-Schinderhannes Cycle Tour: Cycling through the
Rhine-Moselle-Hunsrück Region and experiencing its beautiful
landscape is very popular among many holiday guests. You will travel
by bycicle the Loreley Tour to Oberwesel on the Rhine river (approx.
44 km). Or the Schinderhannes Cycle Path to St. Goar for a
sight-seeing of castle Rheinfels and a ride on the steepest railway
track of Germany; the Hunsrück-Railway (Hunsrückbahn) from Boppard
to Emmelshausen. The "Deutsche-Eck Tour" will take you to
Koblenz
(approx. 53 km), where you will take a boat trip on the
Rhine from Koblenz to Boppard along the most beautiful Rhine castles
and the world famous Loreley. On the last day the tour will take you
to the country of "Schinderhannes the robber" (50 or 76 km). Here you
will visit the Hunsrück-Museum in Simmern or visit old town of
