Rhinehesse
is one of the largest wine-growing regions in Germany and known as
the country of 1,000 hills.
The countryside between the major cities Mainz, Worms, Alzey and Bingen provides a
broad cultural spectrum. Modern cities, traditional sleepy villages,
temples of fine dining, bars serving the new season's wine, art
galleries, theatre in vineyards, jazz in a barn and much more.
Very famous are cycling tours that lead through the wine-growing
region and spending the night at selected winegrowing estates.
Rambling is also very famous among guests to experience the beauty
of the landscape, vineyards, orchards and peculiarities of
Rhinehesse. Don't miss to visit one of the Wine Vaults (old stables
that are now charming restaurants or set the stage for one of the
many cultural events) and the well-known farmers gardens.
