The four winegrowing regions of Rhinehesse, Nahe, Middle Rhine and
Rheingau, are all Bingen's neighbours. Even in the town, you can go
through the vineyards, with their precisely spaced-out rows of
vines, and watch the vintners at work, or simply follow the wine
discovery path in and around Bingen. Visit one of the many wine pubs or vineyard restaurants.
A very enjoyable and interesting experience is a wine-tasting
session in a vineyard.
Bingen is the gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage
"Upper Middle Rhine Valley". A romantic Loreley boat trip,
a visit by boat to the castles, an evening cruise along the
picturesque river with music and dancing - the descriptions alone
tell you what to expect: enchanting hours on Germany's largest
river, which attracts crowds of visitors from all over the world
every year.
