An experience for all the senses… your weekend break in the
Barbarossa town of Kaiserslautern.
Your accommodation is a well-furnished superior room in the three
star superior Akzent Hotel Fröhlich, at the heart of the Palatinate
Forest. On arrival you will receive a bottle of sparkling sekt and a
CD of classical music to create a tranquil, relaxing atmosphere.
There is time the first evening to pamper yourself in the health and
fitness heaven that is the Monte Mare pool complex. An aromatherapy
massage is included and a rose-scented bath in the Emperor's bath
where you can forget about the rest of the world as you sip a glass
of sekt by candlelight.
The next morning, after a champagne breakfast in your room you visit
Kaiserslautern's garden show grounds and the Japanese Garden, a
horticultural gem which encourages visitors to relax. Next, we whisk
you away in a horse-drawn carriage to the Humberg Tower. You have a
romantic picnic and can enjoy the wonderful panoramic view of
Kaiserslautern. The evening brings a romantic candlelit surprise
dinner looking down on the roofs of the town. Lounge Twenty One on
the 21st floor of the town hall is decorated in oriental style where
you can enjoy the new trend for fusion food, a blend of national and
international cuisine.
The remainder of day three is yours to spend as you please. You
could explore the town on a guided walk or visit Germany's second
largest wine-growing region along the German Wine Route where quiet,
picturesque villages invite you to while away the day.
